About Pepero

Pepero didn’t get the easiest start. He was found living on the streets, figuring things out on his own without much kindness from the world. After everything he’s been through, Pepero is still ready to trust, he just needs the right person to give him a chance.

Today, Pepero is learning what it means to be safe and loved. He’s wiggly, chatty, and full of personality. One moment he’ll flop over dramatically for belly rubs, the next, he’ll woo and chatter to tell you all about his day. Earning his trust is a journey, but once you do, you’ll have a loyal, affectionate friend who truly lets you into his heart.

• House and potty trained

• Located in California only (open to long-term foster or adoption)
• A calm, patient home where he can feel safe
• Dog-friendly with supervision (Pepero is learning how to coexist with other dogs through slow, thoughtful introductions)
• Cat-aware (can coexist, still learning boundaries, needs guidance)
• Someone patient with reactivity (Pepero can get overwhelmed in new or exciting environments and needs someone who will advocate for him and keep helping him feel secure)
